Mark qualified as a Solicitor in 1988 and has specialised in commercial disputes and litigation, contract disputes and debt recovery for more than 30 years, he heads-up the Defended Litigation Department.
Mark has a broad range of experience and has dealt with numerous high value and complex cases for individuals, partnerships and corporate clients. He has appeared regularly in Courts around the country as well as the Royal Courts of Justice in London.
Mark is focused on achieving the best result for clients as quickly as possible and recently acted for a multi-national client facing a £13,000,000 Counterclaim.
Outside the office, Mark loves to travel, visiting family in Australia and spending time with friends on the Greek Islands. He also enjoys all motorsports, his ideal break would be watching the Grand Prix in Monaco!
John Pitt LL.dip Solicitor and Director
John heads-up the Commercial Debt Collection Department within Lane & Co and is the Legal Compliance Officer.
John originally joined Lane & Co in 1991 as a Trainee Legal Executive and left in 1996. He re-joined the firm in 2004 and became a partner having qualified as a Solicitor in 2005.
John’s legal expertise in debt collection and commercial litigation spans 25 years and his breadth of knowledge is extensive.
In addition John leads the Company’s new business strategy, while advising existing clients on the best way to recover their monies and improve cash-flow.
When not working John can be found on the river bank trying to catch that elusive double-figure Barbel, (which he is still trying to catch!), or cheering on Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Suzanne Neylan is a Chartered Legal Executive who works in the Commercial Litigation Department.
Suzanne initially commenced employment at Lane and Co in 1997 as an office assistant. She has worked hard and has studied with Ilex during her employment having worked in several Departments over her time. She qualified in 2005 as a Member of Ilex and then went on to become a Chartered Legal Executive in 2007.
She has a vast amount of experience in Commercial Litigation and has dealt with a wide range of actions from Small Claims Hearings to Multi Track Trials.
Having a young family leaves little time for many hobbies but she enjoys films and the cinema. She also likes going to the theatre and enjoys all types of productions including ballet although her favourite is musicals. She also enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Neeru Karra Solicitor
Neeru qualified as a Solicitor in January 2016. Prior to joining us, she trained and then worked at a well-known firm of solicitors in Birmingham, where one of her key specialisms was litigation. Neeru has gained almost 10 years of experience in dealing with fast track and multi-track claims and has received accolades for her approach to client care.
Neeru joined Lane & Co in October 2018 and is a Solicitor in the Defended Commercial Litigation Team whose areas of expertise include:
– Alternative Dispute Resolution
– Disputed Claims and
– Litigation Services
Away from work, Neeru has a deep interest in community issues and charitable work, and has undertaken voluntary work in Ghana and Kenya.
Neeru also has an interest in Property development and enjoys spending her spare time with friends and family.
Sundeep LgahLitigation Executive
Sundeep has recently joined Lane & Co in our Commercial Debt Recovery Department. He has over 5 years of experience in Litigation, working on both Commercial and Private debt recovery, which he has gained from Solicitors’ Practices across the West Midlands.
Outside of work, Sundeep enjoys keeping fit and healthy by regularly going to the gym. He also enjoys travelling abroad.
Roxanne SpeedLitigation Executive
Roxanne assists in the Collections Department advising Clients how best to recover their debts from pre-action stage through to issuing Claims.
Having begun her career in the Law as a Legal Secretary, She has over 5 years experience working in Commercial Litigation working for Solicitors Practices across the West Midlands, assisting in small, multi and fast track cases from start to finish for both Claimants and Defendants.
Roxanne wanted to extend her knowledge and is now in the final stages of studying her Cilex Diploma in Law and Practice to qualify as a Legal Executive.
Outside of work Roxanne enjoys keeping fit, travelling, going to the cinema and spending time her with family and Jack Russell. She has also previously volunteered her time for dog walking / grooming at local dog shelters.
Kim ChandlerLegal Secretary
Kim originally joined Lane & Co in September 2006 after obtaining her Legal Secretarial Certificate. She then, whilst working at Lane & Co, studied for her Diploma in Word and Text Processing which she obtained in 2007.
Kim briefly left Lane & Co to work for a firm of Solicitors in Birmingham, gaining experience in Personal Injury matters and other areas of Law.
Kim returned to Lane & Co in 2012, bringing back to us her vast knowledge and understanding of the debt collection and commercial litigation process.
In her spare time Kim likes to read and spend time with family and friends. She also likes walking (especially in the Shropshire Hills) and taking holidays in Devon.
Kim is also busy preparing for the arrival of her first child in May 2019 and could not be any happier. She is now on maternity leave.
Bindy ChopraLegal Secretary
Bindy joined Lane and Co in February 2019 bringing over 10 years experience with her, she qualified as a Legal Secretary in August 2017 and has worked at a number of different law firms in the West Midlands.
Bindy is ‘Walsall born and bred’, she loves cooking and socialising and has already become a very valued member of our team.
Abbie has worked at Lane & Co for 11 Years. She began her career at the firm as an Office Assistant. Having learned the debt recovery process in detail she now uses her skills and knowledge on our bespoke file management system as Senior Administrator.
Abbie describes herself as:
“A caffeine dependent life-form who hasn’t won the lottery yet!”
Stevie is a new comer to Lane & Co. She was introduced to the Company in December 2018 by her sister Abbie who is training her up as Data Inputter / Administrator.
She has recently graduated from Liverpool Hope University with a BA Hons in Early Childhood & Education.
Deana HollandOffice Assistant
Deana has worked at Lane & Co for almost 4 years as an Office Assistant.
She loves to sing (she actually can’t, but she loves to!) as we all will testify!!!!!
Deana also has a love of all things Welsh. In her spare time she is learning the Welsh language – “gwaith gwych, Deana!”
Surjit KaurAccounts Administrator
Surjit joined lane & Co in 1990 as an Office Assistant and has worked her way through various positions to her current position as the Accounts Clerk.
Having been at Lane & Co for nearly 30 years there is a standing joke that she will only leave in a wooden box! Surjit does say she is not sure how the Directors have put up with her for so long, so she feels she must be doing something right.
Carolyn JoinerCredit Controller
The original Boomerang – Carolyn first started at Lane & Co in 2002. She then left to have her third child but returned in 2005. Having left us again for family reasons, she missed the team camaraderie so much she returned in 2007!
Carolyn’s roles have been varied but she is now settled in the Accounts Department as the Credit Controller.
Away from the office Carolyn enjoys spending time with her ever expanding family.
Karen SherriffLegal Secretary
Karen started working for Lane & Co in 1998 as a Junior Clerk, staying for 6 years. During this time she learned how to do the Accounts Administration which became her main role.
She left for 2 years to pursue a new line of work but returned for another 8 years, until 2014, working primarily as the Credit Controller.
Karen then left to have her family but has again returned to work for Lane & Co on a part time basis as a legal Secretary and general Administrator.
She enjoys extreme sports, riding motorbikes and spending time with her family.

Lorraine joined Lane & Co in 2005 as an Office Manager, following the acquisition of the practice by Mark and John. Lorraine looks after Human Resources and helps support the Collections team. Prior to this Lorraine worked in Optics for over 17 years, managing many practices.
Lorraine enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, gardening and walks with the dogs.
Flip started her working career as a primary school teacher but in 2005, when her husband bought Lane & Co, she joined the team as an Office Manager. She says that there are many similarities between the two roles!
One of her areas of responsibility is the accounts department and she became the Lane & Co COFA when the role was introduced in 2012. A varied and hectic job is balanced by her family, pets and frequent visits to North Wales.
